Rising Stars: Meet Shannon Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shannon Jackson.

Hi Shannon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Born and raised in Compton, California, I became pregnant at 15. I completed my Associate’s degree in nursing with two kids in tow, graduating at 22 as an RN. After holding multiple healthcare senior executive leadership positions, working 60-plus hours a week. Not taking care of myself and making everyone a priority, I had an aha’ moment on how I wanted to start living my life, which inspired the company launch on January 2020. LIVING YOUR LIFE WITHOUT LIMITS (L.Y.L.W.L.) is a Health & Wellness/Motivational Life coaching service with a weekly podcast. Through my podcast, my mission is to serve people first and foremost, having them rediscover themselves through a series of practical resources and ongoing conversations, helping them to achieve their vision. It all starts with reclaiming their voice and their goals.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Because I was not familiar with the podcasting world when I started, I relied heavily on what others were telling me. What I should do, or not do? The first mistake was I blindly trusted others earlier on without during my own research #2. I did not have a clear direction for the business. #3 I did not have a consistent core team, working alongside me in the beginning.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am the Founder/CEO of Living Your Life Without Limits, a Registered Nurse for 30 years, a Certified Nurse Coach, a Youtube influencer, and a Motivational Speaker. My faith in Christ helps direct my purpose. I am committed to service. My community outreach program titled “Street Love” allows me to give back to  Communities by providing food, health, and wellness education and resources. This September 24th, 2022, I will be hosting my annual Birthing a New Promise Health and Wellness conference in the city of Compton.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
I am truly blessed to have my family, friends, and professional colleagues who have supported me from day one. There is no one person. Several people have contributed to laying the foundation of the Company and I love each and every one of them; shout out to all of the video production team members I’ve worked with over the past 2 .5 years, Barry, Benard, and Adam. Candour Tech Solutions, website developers to name a few. I hold every team member, contractor, supporter, and fan in high regard for allowing me to bring motivation, education, and inspiration into their hearts, minds, and airways.

However, my core team: Daughter Shanell Gates, Son Cravon Charles, LeRhonda Triplett, Project leader for L.Y.L.W.L., and my friend David England of David England Photography, Rodney Jon Celebrity make-up artist were all there when it was an idea. Recently I have been honored to acquire a management company, AC communications, under the leadership of Aaron Perkins. Aaron and his team have begun to elevate the brand. Last but not least, my business associate Ibrahim Bangura works behind the scenes and provides support in all things that help me stay balanced. And I thank my Lord and Savior for his grace and mercy toward me.
