Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Ballerini.
Brianna, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
There are two sides to me that met and made me who I am today.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved the spotlight. I love entertaining and I love making people laugh. I got in trouble in school quite a bit because I was always talking and making people laugh. I don’t know how to explain it, it just feeds my soul. When I was a kid, I was acting and doing extra work in music videos, television, and movies here in Nashville. I remember spending the night with friends and having to leave at the crack of dawn because I had acting classes. But as I got older, I sort of regressed with acting and that was because I began to suffer from severe body dysmorphia. I so wish I could have overcome that because I do think I would have done very well down the path I was going. As I transitioned into an adult, I sort of fell into modeling and entertainment again as I gained my confidence back. Don’t get me wrong – I still struggle to this day with body dysmorphia, but I push through and when I see people enjoying my content it makes everything worth it.
This is where my other side comes in. I’m a pretty big tomboy, believe it or not. I’ve been a gamer since I was probably 5 or so. I got a Pikachu edition Nintendo 64 for Christmas. I actually still have it to this day. My parents bought it for me because I loved playing on my older cousin’s Nintendo. My passion for gaming just blossomed and hasn’t stopped. I like to watch YouTube videos of people gaming and making reaction videos. One day while watching, I thought to myself – why am I not doing this? This looks like something I’d really enjoy and be good at. One day, I just picked up my camera and pressed record. Since then, I’ve had several tech companies and entertainers reach out to collaborate with me. This is an awesome journey I’m on. I love entertaining, I love creating content, and I love feeding my soul. I’ve got a lot of great things coming up and couldn’t be more excited.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There is no such thing as a smooth road. With any road, there will be obstacles and blocks. Everything I do is self-taught. I had to teach myself how to edit, work a camera, software, video analytics, marketing – the list goes on and on. To answer your question, no, it wasn’t easy but it has been very rewarding.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a content creator. I’m known for my entertainment. I make videos and model. I think what sets me apart is that I have done every single thing by myself and that is also what I am most proud of. When I get collaboration offers from these big entertainers and these big companies, I’m like – I did all this by myself and I’m being recognized. It’s an awesome feeling.
Who else deserves credit for your story?
I have one person very close to me that has been there for me in every way possible. I’m extremely grateful for this individual. My parents also allowed me to express myself as a child and always let me be me. They encouraged uniqueness and always tried their best to fulfill my entertainment dreams.
