Daily Inspiration: Meet Jacyn Tremblay

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jacyn Tremblay.

Hi Jacyn, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been singing since I was a little girl. Expressing myself through music has always made me feel spiritually connected to the Universe. All through school I was involved in musicals, plays, and bands. My most notable achievement in music to date has been as a vocalist signed to Universal/Motown Records as part of the female pop group Jada.

I’m currently busy performing throughout New England with the 11-piece band called Beantown. Some other musical credits include pop/rock singles in the duo Venus Mars Project, performing as a regularly featured soloist with the Hillyer Festival Orchestra, and most recently with The Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra.

I am a co-writer and singer in a new original pop music project called Three Second Chances. We are releasing our holiday single “When The Tree Goes Up” written by Joey Nicotera- on all digital music platforms this October. We actually just finished recording our debut EP in Nashville, TN with plans to release a single in early 2023! I’m very excited about the future!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a musician isn’t a smooth road-but that’s what makes it so rewarding. I believe that through hard work and perseverance you can achieve what you set out to do. I think if you remove any “expectations” for a project you’re working on then you won’t ever be disappointed if something doesn’t go as planned. Anytime you express yourself creatively you need to just go with the flow. That’s when the magic can happen!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a singer who performs and writes original music. My roots are actually in musical theater but my heart is in writing and performing catchy pop songs. I love how music brings people together. I love the connection you get to make with a crowd at a live performance. It brings such amazing energy to the surface and there’s nothing like it.

Music reaches people in a much deeper way than spoken word sometimes. I think that my ability to connect genuinely with people through singing is what I feel most at home doing. I am proud of the road I have taken this far as an artist. Being self managed-I don’t have to compromise my values or who I am just to sell a product. I have the freedom to choose what I want to represent and what I put my name on. It’s pretty liberating.

So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why?
What matters most to me is being true to myself.  I believe that if you collaborate with like-minded individuals you will grow and improve no matter what field you are in. Positive energy and hard work are the keys to success! Never give up!
