Check Out Maria Sanchez’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maria Sanchez.

Hi Maria, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I am the 3rd of seven siblings. 1st generation in the US, parents migrated in the late 70s. My drive started as a child witnessing my parent’s struggle financially, and their lack of knowledge pushed me to do better and improve every aspect of my life to ensure I provide a better future for my children. My father was deported when I was 14, which put my siblings, my mother, and me in a worse financial situation. That experience impacted me, and my drive to better my family grew by the day. I became eager to improve academically and financially to help my siblings and future family. I also joined the NAVY and instilled strong leadership skills, strong values, and selfless services. I also am an alumnus of TSU. I found a passion in Real Estate. I wanted to educate families on the reward of purchasing a home or/and investing in Real Estate. I especially wanted to help families/people unaware of their homebuying options instead of renting.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There is no smooth road to success. It takes sacrifices, dedication, and discipline for good results. As a single mother of 2, things can get bumpy in building oneself along with trying to lead your little ones. Time, structure, and dedication were a challenge but manageable with sacrifices. Ensuring every second of my day was accounted to dedicate time to growing mentally, balancing work, keeping the house in order, and being present in my children’s life was the biggest challenge. There were days I was very hard on myself, beating myself down and questioning whether I was making the right moves and if the sacrifices towards my dedication to succeed were worth the time. But I overcame my self-sabotage and continue working hard every day to ensure I can offer my children a better future.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

I am proud and passionate about educating people about real estate, whether it is building wealth through it or making the American dream of homeownership a reality for families.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
I have learned that we have to be optimistic despite any negativity/obstacles that come across our path. We either allow the world/society to dictate our future bases on labels/stereotypes, or we take control of our future with a positive vision and adhere to our goals despite how far they may seem.
