Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Cheyenne Davis.
Taylor, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
WELCOME FRIENDS, I’M TAYLOR CHEYENNE.
I’m the bubbly introvert you never knew you needed. I am a 26-years-young Virgo, Enneagram 2- Healer, living her best life raising 2 beautiful babies, G + G, with my significant other, Dalton. All while loving on our fur baby, Tito.
Hey there! I’m Cheyenne.
Your’ gal behind the lens!
I love being able to freeze moments in time! Those genuine smiles and laughter are simply the best and I love being able to capture the authentic moments. My goal is to capture all the little moments so that when you look back through your gallery, you’re reminded of the day, that moment, and all the love and joy felt.
I fell in love with photography from a young age! I vividly remember having the disposable film cameras that you had to take to the photo labs to have developed! I promise I am not that old. I have always had my hand on a camera, just ask my parents with the millions of images they most likely got tired of having around. I have always taken pictures of friends and family, however in 2019 after many individuals asked me to photograph the public I took the plunge.
Once I started my photography journey. the one question I get asked all the time is ” I bet weddings are your favorite type of session aren’t they?! ”
Okay, seriously who doesn’t love a good Wedding or Elopement? They make my heart happy! Although, my all-time favorite session most would never guess. Are you ready? Birth, yes! You read that correctly, Birth Photography! Birth Photography holds a special place in my heart. Being in the very room capturing the biggest moment of your life and the most precious memories that very well may be a bit of a blur due to exhaustion from many hours of labor, medications, or sometimes even the unpredictability of birth can be a bit blurry for some. I am there to capture every moment in between for you to look back on and think about the birth of your precious little one. Birth has always been so near and dear to my heart.
I am now a proud Lifestyle + Wedding + Birth Photographer. I have also extended my knowledge of Birth by becoming a Doula. Surprise!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Photography came so naturally to me that it has always been my comfy spot. I can pick up a camera and capture the magic. However, It was not always easy at first, there were many sessions I was editing via my phone. Cringe! I know. I did very diligent research and have always wanted to perform nothing short of great services to my clientele.
I never want someone to feel stressed or unsure about their decision to have a session! Everyone is important, everyone deserves to feel beautiful and have the best time, and truly get to be themself during their photoshoot!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have studied more about Birth and became a doula to help birthing individuals + their support person feel more safe and secure in their choices. I am very well known for listening and observing. I listen with my heart and see with my eyes. If you need to lean on me through contractions, if you need to hear encouragement through gestures without words, or if you simply need support in total silence. I am here. Some of the greatest support is not by what you can lend, it’s by sharing space during the divine and sacred journey to birth.
I also have a Birth Photography & Doula Package with Embrace Birth Co. – Brianna Shrum, one of the lovely ladies who talked me into taking the doula plunge! What better way to birth than with your support team, consisting of two doulas, a birth photographer, and your very own support system? Brianna and I are both taking some O.R. Doula Training in the next month- Just because you’re having a cesarean does not mean you’re any less deserving of your level of care and comfort! Book a consultation with us today if you’d like to learn more!
I have also studied Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) – the therapy that helps kids with autism learn skills and lessen problematic behavior, like hurting themselves. ABA therapy applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations. The goal is to increase behaviors that are helpful and decrease behaviors that are harmful or affect learning. This skill has become a great achievement for families who long for family photos that most likely have not achieved for years, if not since their child or loved one was a baby!
Taking time, listening, understanding, and giving space to trust and forming a bond can help individuals feel safe and simply capture life from a different standpoint for them.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I would love to thank my family for always believing in me and trusting them to support me and giving a helping hand with childcare on those late-night births when Dalton is out of town for his own career. The “I would love to but I am on call!” and the very much ” I am so exhausted from my 18+ hour birth, maybe next time!” to the sweet hubs from rubbing my feet and back after a birth or 10-12hr wedding! Also for giving up his hunting during Wedding season which just so happens to fall in line with my birthday he crashes his Opening Weekends of hunting every year!
I would also love to thank my sweet babes, G + G, who don’t always understand why mama has to leave in the middle of the night to “help a mama bring a baby into this world” or why “wedding photoshoots” take so long. You babies give me guidance and the push to always do better and to grow not only as an individual but as a young woman owning her own business and thriving.
I would love to thank the friends I have made along the way that I hold strong bonds with! The small business life can become a bit lonesome and overstimulating at times, having those individuals to chat with and debunk can be a major relief for not only you as an individual, and a business colleague, but for self-clarity, you truly are never prepared for every scenario. To have those individuals to gather with and run ideas with are amazing at keeping you going and reminding you to breathe and also enjoy life as well!

I would love to thank all of my precious clients who took a chance on me and have supported me through the years! I would also like to thank the ‘newer’ clients who we are continuing to build those strong bonds with as we go!
Truly, I thank every single one of you for believing and trusting in me!
