Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Hayes.
Hi Brittany, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always been interested in nails since middle school. My high school (whites creek) had taken the cosmetology program out by the time I decided to go for it. Fast forward to my early 20s, I decided to finally pick up a brush & some acrylic to see if I truly had a passion for it. I was living with my ex & her family when I started my nail tech journey. Unfortunately, everyone in the house had asthma. So I started practicing on myself in my car(windows down, air blowing hard, lol) & posting my progress. Other people began inboxing me to do their nails. Eventually, when I was confident enough in my work, I began traveling to anybody that wanted me to do their nails. After teaching myself so much, I took a few one-on-one classes with a professional nail tech to learn more hands-on. Though this journey didn’t start when I would’ve liked it too, I would keep the route of my journey the same but with the knowledge to follow my gut & stay true to my heart because doing that & having faith built & continues to build my Queendom!
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
Of course not, lol. My biggest struggle was starting & building my business while being homeless, living in my car, and not having a place for my clients to pamper themselves(being that they chose me as their tech). Let alone a place for myself to sleep, shower, & eat frustrated me in the worst way but humbled me tremendously! I am beyond grateful for the clients that stuck with me from then on! God kept me during those times.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am a nail tech specializing in Acrylic Nails & Toes, Manicures, Pedicures, & Natural Nail Health. I started my business during one of the lowest parts of my life! I don’t know where I would be had I not stepped out on faith. My genuine love for reminding women that they are Queens sets me apart from others. That’s never a time I’m not encouraging or reminding someone to be any & everything immensely, & that the feeling of royalty starts within & your nails immediately after, lol. I am most proud of my all-natural cuticle oils that I’m currently sold out of!! BEi Queen Nails’ number one priority is to make sure you have a great experience & you get up from the table feeling like the Queen or King you are! I service men, women, & kids 5 and up(must be 12 and up for acrylic nails).
Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
My favorite app is Amazon, lol! You can find anything there. I need help to think of the author or the accurate title, but it’s something like “How to Get Out of Your Own Head. “I listen to a lot of music while prepping for the month, week, or day. I was a psych major in college, so I watch a lot of Crime Watch Daily & interrogations on YouTube to decompress.
