Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Patton.
Hi Allison, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started from being an adolescent; entrepreneurship runs deep in my blood . I never imagined I would be in a kitchen preparing dishes of food that I grew up eating! I have over 15 years experience in customer service. So, me serving and helping people is nothing new! To interact with people on a day to day basis comes natural. Owning a Foodtruck was always a goal for me ; so creating the idea and theme was effortless, because growing up in the south and finding that niche of southern dishes was easy. The idea started in 2016; when I wanted to create a legacy for my daughter. So I thought of the mother-daughter concept; based around royalty being the Queen Mother and Princess Daughter. So, as we decided upon the theme and colors we chose purple and gold. These colors represent royalty and richness! So with the colors in mind and the meaning behind the colors; we came up with Royalty Eats Co. / Royalty Eats Catering Co LLC. So we treat our customers like royalty providing them with world-class customer service.
We wanted to serve a southern fair. So we offer Fried Fish, smoked meats, and occasional American-prepared dishes! We have been open since 2019 and have been at the current location for three years now. We started with a stand-alone trailer and now offer mobile and catering services.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There are always trials and tribulations; that’s what makes you stronger and grow.
Within our first year and a half, we experienced some theft of property. On several occasions. We bounced back and didn’t let that steal our joy of what we bring to the North Nashville Area. Also with an opening during the pandemic, we experienced times when we couldn’t find certain food items and products.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The food truck, I am the founder and owner.
So I handle the day-to-day operations; tracking inventory, prepping food, making bank deposits, and scheduling of events. We are known for serving the best fish in town. I am most proud of the presentation of my dishes. I am very particular about how my dishes look and the view my customers have when they receive their orders.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5 years, I see us with a storefront and residency in commercial food courts.
