Check Out Aaron + Tyler Cage’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron + Tyler Cage. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Cam Cool formed in December 2019 in Knoxville with two identical twins, Tyler and Aaron Cage—the leads of the band. Over the last few years, we’ve filled our band with guitarist Chris Peranich – a founding member from the university, then Ian Shaw (Bass) and Levi Bennett (Drums) this last year. We’ve spent the last two years working on our band dynamic and chemistry—in practice, studio, and stage. We’re proud to say we have slowly been crafting a sound and feel that is entirely our own and a bond with each other that makes this group feel special. We’ve played most of our favorite venues here in Nashville and went on a DIY tour stint last summer. It feels good to feel like a band together.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Never! Nothing good will come easy, and we’ve found that the hard way. If it weren’t for our struggles, we wouldn’t see personal growth and progression in our group. Nashville is very competitive and has taught us what it means to trust ourselves and our process. To let go of the competitive ego and strive for community and individuality at the same time.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am most proud of our brand. Cam Cool has many brand extensions-music, video, photo, vintage, DIY merch, and stage. We have a very crafty group and do as much as a possible ok house. Musically, I’m grateful to see the progression in our writing over the last year. All of our songs are written by Tyler and composed and organized over weeks and months by the band to perfect and create memorable moments. Our next EP will strive to show off our newfound chemistry and light-hearted lyricism that I believe we have become known for.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
Nashville is very collaborative! We are proud to say we’ve worked with all our favorite visual artists here and hope this collaboration will extend all over the US as we grow! We always want to work with people musically or in any other artistry. People can support us by buying our merch and vintage clothing through our instagram or at our live show pop-ups! @camcoolvintage
