Hidden Gems: Meet Michelle Golding-Rice of M&W Real Estate Media

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Golding-Rice.

Hi Michelle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Years ago I had a multimedia business in California. When Will and I decided to move to Kentucky 3 years ago, I wanted to be able to do something with a flexible schedule that I loved! I decided to do real estate photography and took a course online to help me set up my business. We started reaching out to clients and it took about a year for us to really get off the ground.

Will got his drone pilot license and he absolutely has so much fun flying his drone!

When you start a business from scratch, it really gives you the chance to be creative, really take chances and step outside of your comfort zone to meet people, and persevere.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The first year of our business was a tough one! I was basically learning everything about real estate photography and how to run a business from scratch in a brand-new town.

We hadn’t lived in Bowling Green very long so I really had to get out there and meet people and also learn how to use social media to share your services. We would go months without clients and even when I wanted to give up, Will kept encouraging me to keep trying! He knew this was my dream and he said I should do it full-time. I quit my job and just worked on the business which was such a big risk. Will never doubted for a minute that we could be successful! I really could not have done this without him! Now almost 2 years into it, we are getting clients on a more regular basis and I feel so blessed every time I get a phone call to go do a property shoot!

As you know, we’re big fans of M&W Real Estate Media. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We are a real estate photography company, and our goal has always been 2 things. The first was to have absolutely amazing customer service. I truly enjoy working with people and providing a quality experience for them and I’m proud that I really do go above and on for each of my clients!

And the second was that we wanted to deliver as many products as we could that were high quality so that we could be a one-stop shop for all things real estate media in all of Kentucky. We do photography, drone,video, floor plans, virtual tours, and even social media reels!

One fun fact about me is that I was a flight attendant for years! I flew over 5000 times all across California. A fun fact about Will is that he was an RC car racer for years with his father and brother and he used that skill to help him learn how to fly drones.
