Daily Inspiration: Meet Michael Canavan and Ashlley Duarte

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Canavan and Ashlley Duarte. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Michael Canavan and Ashlley Duarte are a multicultural married visual creative team. Canduarte doing both Motion & Stills produces unique, custom-tailored visual solutions. This visual duo brings different perspectives and outlooks of life from their upbringing with Ashlley being born in Managua, Nicaragua but raised in the U.S. and Michael being raised in Chicago.

Their strong compatibility as a visual creative team is evidenced by the synchronicity displayed when working professionally on a project together. Ashlley and Michael perfected their careers in photography and motion by freelancing while in college to now. Their dedication and hard work in perfecting their craft have made them good visual collaborators not only with each other but with clients as well. From directing to lighting to the narrative they are able to execute a project to each client’s needs. The cultural diversification and strong personal bond bring Canduarte’s positive, fun, and inspiring energy to each project.

Canduarte has won four honorable mentions from IPA (International Photography Awards) in 2022.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of Canduarte’s challenges has been to get our business started and put our work in front of clients.

Canduarte is a married duo of visual creative artists. As photographers, we specialize in Advertising photography.

We are known for our portraits, lifestyle, and beauty work.

We are proud to call ourselves talented and keeping motivation at the forefront of our business is key. What sets us apart is not only our creativity and technical skills but also so much more than that. Our upbeat personalities along with working well with others.

What would you say has been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Canduarte is very persistent in creating new work to show clients and staying on top of trends in advertising.
