Hi Keon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Hello and thank you so much for this opportunity. My name is Keon Atwater, CCP aka The Multifaceted Chef. I am a multifaceted creator born in Queens, New York. My passion for literature, food, and the arts has been a constant since the age of 5. I began writing poetry at the age of 10, which then lead to songwriting and singing. Then my passion for food blossomed at the age of 12 when I began exploring the kitchen independently.
Growing up, I would often hear that I would have to choose “one thing at a time” sorting through my passions as if I were incapable of doing it all. As I grew older, I decided not to just focus on the one thing that makes me great but to find a way to incorporate all that I have to offer because it all equates to my greatness. Some may think it’s a lot but I think it can never be too much. By not putting myself in a box, I have found a way to reach multiple groups of people who resonate with a piece of me in whichever way calls to them. Whether it’s food or art, the Multifaceted Chef is full of surprises! Through my products, services, podcast, blog, events, Youtube channels, books, and content people are able to not just relate to me but also connect with me.
I intentionally started my entrepreneurial journey a little over 4 years ago. One day I decided to take the skills and experience I’ve obtained and start offering my services as a Personal Chef. I’ve been cooking since about age 12, I remember preparing meals for my younger sister while my mother would be working. I’ve always been intrigued by the food I would eat, so it only made sense for me to get in the kitchen and figure out what to do. Oddly enough, it’s not like I grew up in a household where I necessarily learned to cook from a family member. If anything I’ve always been very observant, trying to ease my way into the kitchen anywhere I would go. Food was where I found my happiness, creating and eating it, lol. I’ve always wanted to experience a variety of cuisines, so going to culinary school really did it for me. Growing up in Queen, NY while being raised by a single mother of two never really afforded me the luxury of eating out at restaurants often. This means that I lacked exposure to the broad range of cuisines that existed. Ultimately, I followed my calling and had the opportunity to be exposed to many cuisines once attending the Culinary program at The Art Institute of Atlanta.
Here is where I had the opportunity to learn many different culinary skills and build my knowledge. Honestly, culinary school was a great experience but it was working in the restaurant industry after graduating that really shifted my perspective on what it was I wanted to do. As thrilling as working in a restaurant is, I’ve found myself drawn to the more intimate side of the culinary industry. For me, there is nothing more satisfying than preparing a concept, a menu, and a meal for a particular person in mind and hearing their joy as they indulge in your creation. That’s pretty much what I stand by, a specially tailored experience for each and every client that makes them feel as unique as they are. I want people who experience this journey with me to be so elated and invested in every moment because they will know it was customized with them in mind. This is included in every service I offer from personal chef services, catering, events, meal planning, meal preparation, culinary classes and so much more. I take the time to really get to know my customers’ needs so that way I can meet them to the best of my ability. I take the time because they are worth the time. I got to where I am by pure belief, I took a leap of faith into the passions that drive me. I decided that if I am to do anything then best believe I will do it to its fullest!
This later drove me to find a way to monetize my many talents and share them with the world. This is why I call myself The Multifaceted Chef because I’m not just a Chef. I am an Author, Entrepreneur, Artist, Entertainer, Brand Ambassador, Blogger, Podcaster, Content Creator and so much more. For me the sky isn’t the limit, it is boundless!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. After all, it did take me a while to gain the confidence to combine my passions and leap. It all started with my culinary journey. Although my love for food and cooking runs deep, there’s been great discouragement along the way. After graduating from culinary school I was unsure about what I wanted to do for a while but after experiencing other careers in different fields, I realized that the only thing worth the amount of patience I was gaining was going after my true passion. Once I finally decided to pursue my goal of becoming a Personal Chef I began to doubt myself. I questioned if I had all the skills and knowledge required to offer my services to others, all while working in the restaurant industry as I continued to learn.
I began to wonder if I should wait until I had what it takes when suddenly, I was provided an opportunity to collaborate with another Chef to do a Pop-up restaurant event in Atlanta. It was at this moment that I realized I need not doubt my ability or potential. This provided me the opportunity to expose people to my food and get amazing feedback, which solidified the idea that I should be doing this. Even times when business may be slow and no one seems to know my name or what I offer, I feel humbled by the thought that someone will soon have a chance to experience my services and products. That moment in my life was the stepping stone to fully tapping into all of my talents and raw potential.

I am a Certified Culinary Professional AKA Chef, Artist, Author, Content Creator, Brand Ambassador, Fashionista, Podcaster, Blogger, Entrepreneur, and overall entertainer who has worked in various industries. I am a published Chef whose work has been published in “Voyage Atlanta“ magazine, “Canvas Rebel” and “The Creator Spotlight” with Ramen and Crystals as well as online publications for the “Maxim CoverGirl 2020” competition and the “Miss JetSet 2022” competition.
My podcast has featured various Artists, Entertainers, and Entrepreneurs. I have also appeared in multiple videos and have a history of collaborating with other artists. I continue to support other small-owned businesses through my brand ambassador role and promotional modeling. Lastly, I am the V.P. of Atwater Productions & Publishing LLC., CEO of NaturalBlackUnicorn, and CEO of GoldUnicorn. My goal is to share my passions and creativity while Uplifting, Educating, and Inspiring those whose spirits align. Outside of offering my services as a personal chef, I have recently released two books. One of my books is a journal that inspires self-love and self-care.
“Self-Love Journey: The Tarot Journal Edition” was created to help aid people in their personal development and spiritual journey. Often the road of self-care can be much like a roller coaster, there are plenty of ups and downs but it is constantly in motion. It can be hard to keep track of all of the sudden changes and experiences that occur on this journey, hence why I have created a journal to help others sort through these everyday experiences. My other book “A Dose of Fuego” is a recipe guide series which is Inspired by the Erotic Book Series “Fuego Dosage” by Jonnise Atwater, MBA. This book was creatively conceptualized by pairing a series of dishes that convey key elements of erotica using aphrodisiac components.
This dual concept, “A Dose of Fuego” break’s down the elaborate and erotic tales of “Fuego Dosage” through aphrodisiac-based food with a plant-based twist. Introducing the first of an unforgettable culinary and literary experience, where poetry and food collide seamlessly to reveal a story. Both books are now available on Amazon. In addition to the release of my books, you can also find merch and art that was inspired by these concepts.

As I move forward in my career I aim to continue my family’s legacy and establish something that can be passed down for generations through my family business Atwater Productions & Publishing LLC. Our mission is to curate experiences through our talk shows, podcasts, books, live and virtual events. Our passion is bringing people together to enlighten, empower, and exchange artistry, share ideas, create conversations, and stimulate the minds.
