Inspiring Conversations with Tamara Meyer of The Pole Barn

Hi Tamara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
I had a great pole dance studio in St. Louis, but I eventually had to leave the city. After having to say goodbye to my beloved pole dance studio in St. Louis, I knew it was time for a fresh start.

Although it was difficult and scary, I’m grateful for the opportunity to come to Nashville and start a new life. With a strong sense of courage, I’ve moved on to Nashville and I’m thrilled at the prospect of rebuilding my identity. This is not only an opportunity to restart my journey but be part of other people’s second chances too!

Now, I have the opportunity to encourage others by creating a safe space to help them rediscover themselves and what they’re passionate about – and there’s nothing more rewarding than being involved in that process. Through, each day brings new opportunities and with them, more passion and purpose in life. Here’s to new beginnings!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Going through starting something AGAIN is the BIGGEST challenge. The rebuilding process sucks. Nobody wants to have to rebuild something they spent so much love and time creating.

Nonetheless, this time around I’m determined to make my studio and my events even better than before. I’m confident that I have what it takes to create a strong and vibrant community!
