Hi Jessica, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
For years, I was that person who would buy candles because they smell good, but I never really thought about what the candle represented or what type of impact it was making in my life or space. As a woman of faith, I wanted to create candles that not only smell phenomenal, but signify purpose, encouragement, and meaning for everyone who uses them.

The promise of God’s restoration through our process of becoming is much like the candle-making process—often messy, confusing, and discouraging when things don’t work out as planned. Still, in the end, there’s a beautiful representation of why it was all worth it.

Why YOU are worth it.

Myrrh is from the Bible, an oil that was often given as a gift and used because of its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. In addition to this benefit, myrrh also helps restore health; reduce pain and swelling; disinfect wounds; promote relaxation; treat infection; and detoxify. Myrrh is unique because its natural healing properties purge the iniquitous and preserve the good— much like God’s love.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
To be honest, much like life, the journey of building a business is anything but smooth. But, I truly believe that with God, all things are possible, and my struggles have only served as an opportunity to strengthen my faith and my impact. I do everything by hand, and one of the biggest struggles I faced early on was finding the right suppliers who shared my commitment to quality and clean ingredients and materials.

It took a lot of trial and error to find the right partners who shared my values and vision for my company. Another challenge I faced was getting the word out. Marketing can be tough, especially in a crowded industry like candles. But again, with faith, prayer, and a lot of heart work I have been able to connect with customers who truly appreciate our commitment to creating candles that not only smell great, but are not harmful, and reflect our faith.

Throughout it all, there were times when I doubted myself and wondered if I was on the right path. But each time, I found comfort in knowing that I am pursuing my purpose. And looking back now, I am so grateful for every struggle I faced because they have made me a stronger woman and business owner.
