Meet Cynthia Pierce of About Town Apparel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cynthia Pierce.

Hi Cynthia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I purchased About Town Apparel after I moved to Tennessee from Louisville, KY. I didn’t plan on falling in love with Winchester, TN when I moved here to be closer to my mother but this town is simply enchanting!

From the local festivities to the scenic views on Tim’s Ford Lake, this place definitely has something for everyone!

I’ve enjoyed growing with this community and getting to know all of the people who make this place special.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Certainly not a smooth road but that’s what makes life so exciting!

Covid-19 was certainly a curveball for all business owners and juggling that with holding a family together, maintaining a social life, working on personal development, AND tackling the digital age/E-commerce/social media for business definitely had its share of obstacles.

I have certainly had a run for my money but I wouldn’t change a single thing about it!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
About Town Apparel is a women’s clothing and accessory boutique with carefully chosen items and brands ranging from sizes XS to 3XL.

My personal philosophy is shopping should be an experience, not a chore. When available we try to source locally here in the U.S.

We love to get involved with the community we serve; from sponsoring local sports to hosting dress drives for local schools we want to do our part. We believe that change starts at home!

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
Just that readers can find us nestled between the Great Smoky Mountains and beautiful Tim’s Ford Lake right here in Winchester, TN.

Winchester is rapidly growing and tourism peaks during the summer season so come on down and enjoy what we have to offer!

If you can’t make the drive but still want to check us out we launched our online store AboutTownApparel.com.
