Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler George.

Hi Tyler, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In my journey as an entrepreneur, I was 20 years old when I had a friend invite me to help him out with a training appointment in the finance industry.

I was a full-time touring musician with my twin brother (our band is called the George Twins). My friend had a trainer there with him to make sure he was sharing the presentation correctly and that trainer blew my mind with what was possible by exploring a new industry and shared some financial education that I still use to this day. I asked about joining his agency to do what he did and he told me I was too young, but I convinced him to give me an interview.

The interview went well and to this day, that trainer is one of my best friends and biggest mentors. I then found myself passionate about helping artists and creatives through the difficulties of their financial journeys and I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of clients get out of debt, budget, invest, and take ownership of their finances. Some of those clients have even partnered with me to learn how to become a financial coach.

Now, I spend most of my time, training coaches and helping clients through the challenges they have in their mindset. Ultimately, you can give some of the best strategies in the world, but if you have a poor mindset, you will never take action.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been relatively smooth so far?
Absolutely not! Over the last 7 years, I’ve faced lots of rejection, and many hardships along the way. The main obstacle for me, and something that’s still difficult, is my addiction to others’ approval. Oftentimes, I felt if someone didn’t want or use my services, it meant I wasn’t good enough.

Now, I realize that rejection doesn’t mean that I’m not good enough, it means I have the courage to risk. I have now come to realize that all of the hardships I faced are the foundation of what I teach. You are the most qualified to heal the person you once were.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Cynergy Coaching?
There are 3 sides to what I do:

1. Financial Coaching
– All of my coaching is completely free of charge
– I get paid from the companies I help the client save with (Like a referral fee)
– I specialize in helping others get out of debt, learn financial education, and invest in tax-advantaged solutions.
– What makes me unique is that I don’t bomb you with a bunch of fancy finance language and try to convince you where you should put your money. I make sure that you have the education to make informed decisions with your finances & then help come alongside you in your goals.
– If you want to know why the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer, let’s talk.

2. Mindset Coaching
– This coaching is designed to help you remove the non-conscious roadblocks in the way of your potential.
– I specialize in helping others work through anxiety, depression, time management, and lack of purpose.
– I specialize in working with coaches & entrepreneurs.
– I have helped multiple clients who have never made over $100k a year, break past $100k within 6 months.
– My coaching is tailored to the individual.
– All problems in your life stem from a belief about yourself.

3. Sabers & Savers
– Is my podcast that combines the story of Star Wars with financial philosophy
– I’ve loved Star Wars since I was little and I am passionate about financial education so I combined the two
– Episode Titles are puns of the movies: “The Money Menace,” “Attack of the Loans,” “Revenge of the Interest”

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Covid enhanced my business because I can work with people remotely over Zoom. However, it helped me realize the importance of meeting in person and being intentional with those I love.
