“Rising Stars” Meet Naturally Nesh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Naturally Nesh.

Naturally Nesh

Hello Naturally Nesh, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Hi, I am Naturally Nesh a media personality born and raised in Nashville TN. As a child going to summer camps or school, my mom would have the radio on the Rickey Smiley, Tom Joyner, or the Steve Harvey show. Once I got home after a long day of doing whatever a kid would do, I would watch 106&Park. I never knew what to call what they were doing but I knew at some point in life I wanted to do the same thing.

I always had a love for music since a child when the only way to get me to sleep was to turn on the radio or music and be pat to sleep. As I got to college and I changed my major from nursing to communications, I started to learn the name of that thing I knew so long ago of what I wanted to do.

My start was simply in school from learning all sides of media (video/audio editing, marketing, journalism, etc.) in school I would jump on classmates’ radio shows and I started creating content on my YouTube channel. But it wasn’t until after college that I got deep into my craft with real work experiences and learned lessons that pushed me into who and where I am today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been a rollercoaster, and nothing has come easy but when you want something you work towards it despite the adversity. One of the struggles I’ve faced along my journey is having to endure rejection. I know for most opportunities I’m qualified for and even if I’m not my work ethic and willings to learn is unmatched and just need someone to take a chance on me.  Having to shake back from many “NO’s” can start to cause me to doubt my potential. There are many other challenges I face; unpaid hours, sleepless nights, lack of support, overthinking, betrayal, creating boundaries, feeling as if things are moving slowly in my career, being underestimated, overlooked, and much more.

But I’m learning all of the challenges I’ve faced along the way is all a part of my journey, and I’ve had to go through those things and will continue to have battles throughout my journey to be able to pick up new tools, learn things, and be equipped to ultimately receive all that God has for me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Yes, I’m a journalist but I also create and work on all sides of the camera which is what sets me apart. I’m the creative director, the producer, the on-camera talent, and the post-production editor. With all sides, I create great quality content. I am known for my tv show appearance on “Baddies South” on Zeus Network where I am seen interviewing the cast of the show.

I’ve been able to create my lane of creating content, where my content is interactive and on the move. You can expect to see interviews that will take you into the world of the person I’m speaking with not a regular sit-down face-to-face interview. I’m most proud of all of my accomplishments because every time a new opportunity comes it’s always bigger than the last.

My most recent proudest moment is having the opportunity to cover day and nighttime events at the 2023 Essence Festival of Culture presented by Coca-Cola.
