Meet Dr. Noah Emanuel of Boro Chiropractic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Noah Emanuel.

Hi Dr. Emanuel, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
In 2020, my wife and I felt a strong calling to open our own sports chiropractic clinic. We found the perfect space at the Old Hanes candy factory/flag store and diligently worked on our plans with the guidance of the Tennessee Small Business Association. However, during the beginning stages of Covid-19, we faced unexpected challenges when banks stopped giving out loans. We felt deflated, and we were uncertain about the future of our dream. We missed getting a bank loan and signing a lease by just one hour, leaving us feeling super bummed.

But we never lost sight of our dreams and continued to trust the Lord. We knew that the right opportunity would come! Little did we know that during this time, he was orchestrating the plans of Boro Chiropractic. A couple of weeks later, after our initial funding attempts failed, a patient of ours unexpectedly invited us to lunch. This wonderful individual was called to do local missions with other business people, and he felt a strong desire to support us in our endeavor. During our conversation, he asked us about our dreams, and we honestly shared our vision for the clinic, despite our previous setbacks.

To our amazement, this kind-hearted individual offered his unwavering support, saying, “No big deal, I got you. Call me anytime you need the funding.” It was a moment filled with awe and disbelief.

About a year later, in 2021, we noticed the space was available for rent once again. Feeling excited, we reached out to the landlord, he remembered us and without skipping a beat he said, “I would love for you to rent it!” With the unwavering support of our financial backer, we were finally equipped with the funds we needed. We were all in, ready to embark on this incredible journey of opening our dream sports chiropractic clinic! We opened for business on 06/1/2022!

We are humbled and grateful for the opportunity to serve our community! We love our patients, their stories, and getting them back to doing what they love. We believe that everyone who moves is an athlete and we get to encourage and empower them to perform at their best!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Oh, you wouldn’t believe the challenges we faced when we first opened Boro Chiropractic! It was a wild ride of learning and growth. Who knew it would be hard work opening a small business and being a one-man show? During the first eight months, I (Dr. Noah), was juggling everything that came our way. From answering phones and scheduling patients to providing care and handling payments, I was on my feet all day, every day. And it didn’t stop there! We encountered various unexpected issues like fixing lights, calling plumbers, reconnecting the internet, revamping our scheduling system, and a whole bunch of hiccups.

On top of all that, we love our community and were eager to get connected! We jumped headfirst into joining all the events, appearing on podcasts, and supporting other small businesses. It seemed like every day, something new demanded our attention, leaving us feeling like we were herding cats! But amidst the chaos, we also witnessed the sheer joy of serving our patients, and that kept us going! Thank you, Jesus! Each person we cared for brought a sense of fulfillment and purpose to the journey.

Through the ups and downs, we learned valuable lessons about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of seeking help and support. It’s been an adventure like no other, and we’re grateful for every experience that has shaped us into the dedicated team we are today. We now have a staff of three including; myself, my wife (Dr. Lauren), and our office manager (Kathleen). We’ve come a long way, and we’re excited to keep growing and helping our community become healthier!
