Hidden Gems: Meet Tamara Hammons of LOx Mobile Oxygen Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Hammons.

Hi Tamara, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
I want to start by saying thank you to Voyager Magazine for extending me this opportunity to talk about the LOx brand and the services we provide.

My name is Tamara Hammons, and I was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. After graduating high school in 1999, I moved to Nashville to attend Tennessee State University, where I received my bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in Information Systems in 2003.

I’ve worked in several industries starting at the age of 15 such as fast food, retail, banking, and manufacturing as a supplier quality engineer. I’ve always known that I didn’t want to work for someone else for the rest of my life so while learning all the different skills, I would always imagine how I would structure things in my own company. I am a firm believer that you can do anything you put your mind to. If you have a plan and are ready to put in hard work, then the end goal is achievable.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I don’t have a specific struggle that I’ve been through as they’ve all made me who I am today. I’ve learned to look at my obstacles as life lessons, no matter what I am going through.

There is always a message to receive from every life lesson that you go through. The key is to figure out what you are going to do to overcome it and just never give up!!!

Women navigate the complexities of life (i.e., balancing responsibilities as spouses, mothers, and professionals) often without the support they truly need and/or desire.

What do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is spending time with loved ones and close friends. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new things.

My ultimate passion is being able to provide people with a natural alternative to di-stressing from everyday life. I am always suggesting all-natural products for my family and friends to try out and encourage everyday wellness.
