Hidden Gems: Meet Chuck Johnson of Tennessee On Time Traffic

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chuck Johnson.

Chuck Johnson

Hi Chuck, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I began my journey as a part-time DJ but soon found myself navigating the roads as a traffic reporter.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being self-employed as a traffic reporter has had its challenges. Some of the struggles along the way include learning to fly both airplanes and helicopters and building a client/sponsor base. Just dealing with the unpredictable nature of the job. Dealing with 109 Radio Stations sounds easy but it’s not.

Tailored traffic reports in each market can be challenging at times plus dealing with two different time zones during the heart of rush hour traffic. Always living in fear of dropping the wrong traffic report in the wrong market is a daily challenge. Knowing you have Millions of Radio Listeners depending on you is very stressful at times to get it right.

You have to bring your A-game every day.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Tennessee On Time Traffic?
We bring you “LIVE” real-time traffic video coverage in Tennessee through 109 radio stations and live video streams. Now covering Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, and Chattanooga. Live updates help commuters stay informed about current traffic conditions, allowing them to plan their routes accordingly.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
It can be very challenging at times to connect with the right marketing decision-makers.

We strongly feel we lose by default because they don’t know about us. Collaborating with marketing agencies could provide mutual benefits offer greater value for their product or service and lift their brand.
