Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaylen Taylor.
Hi Jaylen, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started taking cooking seriously throughout college at TSU during the 2018 fall semester and finally decided to sell plates in October of 2022.
Then I took my talent to culinary school in Houston, Texas. I’ve been cooking since the 3rd grade.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being financially stable and providing my equipment was challenging but always doable.
As you know, we’re big fans of Elite Kitchen. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am an upcoming Private Chef. I provide catering, meal prep, and fine dining private events. and more to various clients. I am also a chef consultant.
I developed the brunch menu at The Domain Bar and Lounge. I am most proud of continuing my culinary career while also moving to a new city with good grades and perfect attendance in culinary school.
Networking and finding a mentor can have a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I network well while playing basketball and going To various meetings within my field. You never know who you may meet that will give you an opportunity.
