Conversations with Debra Marie

Today we’d like to introduce you to Debra Marie.

Hi Debra, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
So where did it all begin? Getting attention, being outspoken, natural motivator, and wanting to help others have always been second nature to me!

I started being an entrepreneur back in 2016 and it was love at first sale! In the process of building my first business Deb’s Imagination (great name I know!) Now Sugar Star Co., I immediately fell in love with building a brand and storytelling! A close friend at the time who made me fall in love with design as well, gave me the Secret to building a successful business and that is, you guessed it “Branding!”

As I started making more sales in my business hitting $20k + months and elevating my design skills as a stay-at-home mom at the time with another Little princess on the way, I decided that this is something I have to share with the world!

Then my life did a total 360, as Covid was on the rise, my marriage was on the decline and we decided that it was best to end things! After this life-changing decision entrepreneurship was there but on the back burner! Then came our good friend’s imposter syndrome, and a major mindset shift took place!

However, I did not let it stop me! In the process, I have worked with some pretty impressive ladies who have been featured in Bustle, Cosmopolitan, Voyage ATL, news outlets, and much more!

I’m on a mission to help female entrepreneurs grow their brands with great craftsmanship and sophistication that not only gets them seen but be an authoritative status symbol in their industry!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Entrepreneurship is a journey! I appreciate the challenges that have come along the way! I believe the setbacks I’ve faced in the past 3 years have contributed to my character development personally as well as professionally!

From my divorce in 2020, imposter syndrome, and just the overall state of our economy. I just stay focused on the impact I have on helping individuals bring their vision to life! I use these experiences to help my clients achieve their goals!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Personal Brand Strategist and designer! I help female entrepreneurs Amplify their brand’s voice, and build an intentional brand with a deeper purpose.

My brand studio assists sophisticated women in growing their businesses, attracting more leads, and saving time with a simplified, effective, and strategic design process!

I specialize in assisting industry experts in establishing or Re-establishing their brands through Brand strategy, Creative Direction, and Brand & Web Design.

I take pride in my mission! That is to educate my clients to build their brand internally first and guide them in building an intentional brand that sets the foundation for a sustainable business with clarity and confidence!

What sets me apart is that I care about my client’s business as if it’s my own! I’m very passionate about sharing my knowledge! I love helping my clients gain clarity on their brand purpose and assisting in building the foundation that will help them build 6 and 7-figure brands!

What’s next?
I plan to continue to expand my brand and grow my team to create opportunities!

I also plan to create communities as well as safe spaces for upcoming and inspiring entrepreneurs through education, events, and retreats!
