Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Pearce.
Hi Brandon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started in the tattoo industry in 2003 as a front counter person then progressed into a piercer. I started my apprenticeship tattooing in 2011 and became a full tattooer in 2013. I owned two studios in Florida named Foolish Pride Tattoo Company before I moved up to Tennessee.
From 2007 to about 2018, I traveled the tattoo convention circuit which took me all over the USA and Europe. I stopped traveling and moved up to Murfreesboro Tennessee in 2017 so I could focus on my wife and kids and build a clientele to didn’t require me to be on the road. Since then, I have been at Alchemy Murfreesboro and love every minute.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s been a windy road. I was taught by a very well-known tattoo artist who had very little interest in teaching and wanted a buddy to follow him around to the convention.
From there, I met a huge network of people who would help me grow as an artist. Over the last 10 years, I have focused on growth and building my skill sets in multiple different styles. All in all, it’s been a good journey for the last 20 years in the industry.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a tattoo artist. I specialize mostly in Neo tradition and cover-ups.
But I’m a well-rounded tattoo that does most styles. My biggest focus is just delivering the best tattoos and experience for my clients. My biggest focus is customer service.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I am huge into pop culture. Star Wars and Dr. Who and the Denver Broncos are my favorite things. I listen to the Books Closed podcast which is for Tattooers.
