Rising Stars: Meet Sauce

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sauce.

Sauce

Hi Sauce, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
My passion for music started at a very young age. I grew up in a music-friendly household on the East side of Nashville. From being around my parents playing old school hip hop, and R&B/soul. To hanging with friends and putting each other on to our newly discovered music.

My passion for it runs deep. It’s truly a lifestyle for me. I played the saxophone in middle school, which jumpstarted me into being inquisitive about the ins and outs of the process of music. Broadcasting became a natural gift for me. I love to learn, and I have a lot of friends in the music industry that inspired me to start my podcast.

With self-motivation, the support of my loving wife, and favor from God. I started The Lost In The Sauce Podcast in January 2020 and have been flourishing ever since.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Everything has its struggles but with accountability, research, and the willingness to be great. I’ve managed to stay consistent through it all.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a self-taught journalist. I am also the Host/owner of Out East Network which is the network host for The Lost In The Sauce Podcast.

I feel like my style and the way I converse sets me apart from others. The thing that makes me most proud is the Impact and standard that I set in the media space for the hip-hop scene in Nashville.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I learned how to be confident and to always bet on myself.
