Today, we’d like to introduce you to Marissa Hasenour.

Marissa Hasenour

Hi Marissa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I grew up on a farm in Indiana and had always dreamed of moving away to achieve bigger dreams. I made the move to Nashville five years ago, not knowing anyone & excited to begin this new journey of my life. My real estate journey began in Indiana, where I worked as a title specialist in a real estate title office. Learning the ins and outs of what happens in a real estate transaction from beginning to end is where my passion for the industry began. After a few years there, I moved to Nashville, where I began working as a property manager.

After completing my real estate licensing class and passing the exam, I was excited to jump headfirst into selling real estate and helping people achieve their homeownership goals. With ten years of well-rounded real estate experience, I feel confident I can help people in our community achieve whatever real estate goal they may have!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Real estate is never a smooth road. There are always ups and downs! I got my license at the end of 2019, right before the world got crazy in 2020 and shut down…

After learning everything I could about being the best Realtor® I could be, I had to learn to adjust and connect with clients. The market has been abnormal ever since, so there’s always learning and adjusting to keep up with whatever kind of market we are in.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Although I love working with any and all types of clients, I specialize in working with sellers.

Having an extensive listing/marketing plan to help get their property sold quickly and seemingly is what I strive for. Aside from sellers, I enjoy working with first-time homebuyers. Most people have no idea how the home-buying process works, so getting to walk them through the process and make sure they enjoy it brings me an abundance of happiness. Having an extensive background in real estate before getting my license has helped tremendously in being able to make sure my clients have a seamless transaction.

I think real estate agents frequently get a bad rep, so I constantly do my best to make sure my clients are happy, & get the best, most professional agent I can be. I always say I value relationships over transactions. Building a relationship with a new client, getting to know them, & even becoming friends is the best part of the job!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned in this journey is to never be afraid to ask for help. Every single real estate transaction is different; therefore, new issues are going to arise. It’s okay to not know something.

Learning how to tackle a new issue is how we continue to learn and grow. I am so happy to have a brokerage that is always there for their agents and will do anything to ensure we succeed.
