Inspiring Conversations with Dennis Boyd of Pro Pool Inspectors

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Dennis Boyd.

Dennis Boyd

Hi Dennis, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I started a pool cleaning service company around 2000.

It began to grow, and I began to take training classes in the pool industry on all things involving swimming pools and spas. That training led to the opportunity to help the home inspection and real estate industry meet a need to help customers who are buying or selling homes with pools.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I am not sure any business is a smooth road – they all have their ups and downs. The challenge was to find our niche and to excel in that area, which we have with swimming pool inspections. We are the only certified pool inspection company in the state of Tennessee, and we specialize in inspections, not repair work or weekly pool service.

It was important to us to take our swimming pool training education to solve the need in the home inspection and real estate industry to provide comprehensive pool inspections to clients to help with the home-buying process.

We have made it our mission to provide service to agents, inspectors, and clients, and we even offer classes for new home buyers on how to care for and maintain their pool and equipment.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next, you can tell us a bit more about your business.
If you are buying or selling a house with a swimming pool and spa and would like a professional pool inspection report during this transition, give us a call at 615-838-0769, email us at [email protected], or visit our website at propoolinspectors.com.

We offer comprehensive pool inspection reports in a timely manner. Years of experience in the pool and real estate industry have keyed us into the swiftness of a real estate transaction. Our goal is to empower agents, home inspectors, and buyers/sellers to feel confident they are receiving an in-depth inspection of a pool and its systems without standing in the way of the home transaction.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
The pool industry is always changing.

Especially in the area of safety features and the general public in using swimming pools. We can expect more legislation, regulation, and products to be developed to aid in that goal.
