Bridges Nashville Church, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Bridges is a non-denomination, community-driven church dedicated to seeing the residents of urban Nashville discover the love of god, the hope of Christ, and the power of the holy spirit. Our prayer is that the people of Music City would be transformed one life at a time by an encounter with Jesus through relationship, discipleship, and worship.

Our core values:

Community – creating a space for people to cultivate faith-filled relationships and a sense of belonging within the body of Christ.

Discipleship – a daily commitment to becoming more like Christ and helping others do the same.

Service – being the hands and feet of Christ by helping our neighbors in a tangible way.

Diversity -embracing the differences of our backgrounds, stories, and faith journeys as the family of god.

Authenticity – creating a trusting environment that promotes honesty and transparency.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Continuing to break down the walls of religion and introducing others to a life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ.

As you know, we’re big fans of Bridges Nashville Church. What can you tell our readers who might not be as familiar with the brand?
Who We Are: Bridges Nashville is a small church. Our focus is helping people along their journey to loving God and loving others. We’ve been called “authentic”, “real”, and a church that truly “gets it”. We’re not about the performance, the show, or parts of the church that can interfere with a relationship with Jesus.

We also believe the presence of God should not be limited to the time in church. That’s why we focus less on the 90 minutes spent on Sunday in church and more on the other 9,990 minutes in the week. Serving others outside our four walls is how Jesus lived and why we are so passionate about being a church that loves others.

What To Expect: First, you probably don’t expect to have church in a downtown bar. But that is where we meet on each month’s first, second, and third Sunday. The Listening Room cafe is a Nashville hotspot and right near the center of the city. It is well known and provides us with a welcoming space to serve others.

Walking in for church, you will smell freshly brewed coffee and hear people talking. We’re friendly but not overwhelming. Our service starts with worship. Sometimes, we’ll have a full band, while other times, it will be acoustic worship, setting the mood to receive God’s Word.

The pastor team preaches directly from the bible in a way that connects with both avid bible readers and those who have yet to fully explore God’s teaching – and provides true life application.
