Jennifer Vickery Smith is an entertainment reporter in Nashville, having worked as an on-camera reporter, anchor, producer, and print journalist in entertainment and broadcast news. Jennifer has worked with each of the major networks and nationally broadcast entertainment programs, including Entertainment Tonight and EXTRA, and can often be seen on Nashville’s WSMV-TV.

Jennifer is momma herself to rising country music artist Conner Smith. (Valory/Big Machine) Guests of the podcast have included the following: Mothers of The Jonas Brothers, Luke Bryan, Kelsea Ballerini, Travis Kelsey, Stef Curry, Patrick Mahomes, and many more. About 60 episodes of the podcast have been recorded since launching in December ’22.

“I began the podcast after thinking about how special it would be to tell the story of an entertainer’s journey from the perspective of the mother. Each story is unique in how a mother’s love and encouragement so often lead to a child believing in him or herself enough to chase a goal and dream big. We focus on faith, family, and fame and the impact these three things have on the journey to the spotlight.

This has been the most rewarding thing I have done in my career, and I feel so honored to have the privilege of telling these special stories. As the mother of a young country music artist, these conversations are like therapy and unite moms in a special way,” shares Jennifer.

Who else deserves credit for your story?
My oldest son, Cooper Smith, is a videographer and film director. He has been my biggest asset in starting this project. He films and records most episodes for me.
