Meet Katie Polenzani of Belle Maison

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Katie Polenzani.

Thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My mom, Carolyn Kalil, and I opened Belle Maison a little over two years ago. We have traveled to some amazing places, but nowhere is quite like the South of France. 

Over time, we began to appreciate the similarities between the South of France and the South here in the US: great food, friendly people, beautiful landscapes, and an idyllic, relaxed lifestyle. Thus, Belle Maison was born! We are so honored to bring a taste of French Provençal culture to Franklin, TN! 

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Belle Maison started as an idea that has become an absolute dream come true for us. 

The biggest challenge we face is getting our name out there. The Greater Nashville Area is growing rapidly, which means we have to be consistent in introducing ourselves to the ever-growing community!

Belle Maison is a French-inspired home and gift store that specializes in everything for the home. 

Whether you are looking for a unique gift or a one-of-a-kind French antique, we have it all! We carry a wide variety of furniture, home decor, art, and more! We also offer in-home design consultations and trade discounts for interior designers and realtors for closing gifts! 

What sets us apart is our love for traveling to France to source many of our products. There, we can find authentic French pieces and learn about their histories and stories. We hope to one day be able to bring our customers with us to France to shop local brocantes and markets! 

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
Of course, we want our business to grow, expand, and succeed, but our love for each other and our customers is the cornerstone of Belle Maison. Our top priority is going the extra mile for our customers and ensuring they are happy, confident, and inspired.
