Inspiring Conversations with Casey King of MissCaseyK

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Casey King.

Hi Casey, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I began my education career in Murfreesboro, TN, where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Middle Tennessee State University. There I worked in local preschools and public schools, ensuring I met the needs of each child regardless of ability, and those families whom I served.

Shortly after graduating, I moved to Nashville, where I taught pre-k for many years at Calvary Young Children’s School and Westminster School for Young Children. In 2021, I decided to take my love for helping parents and children in small groups/individualized settings and made the leap into starting my own business.

With no prior business experience, I formed MissCaseyK LLC, providing Early Childhood Educational Consulting and Educational Services to local families. Although it has been quite the learning curve as I have navigated the business side of things, I absolutely love how the business has evolved, the unique services we offer families in Nashville, and getting to pursue my dream!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I come from a family of educators. In fact, no one in my family has a business background, so learning the ins- and outs of business has been challenging for sure! Some days, you are not only an educator, but you are the CEO, the accountant, the secretary, the marketer, the janitor, and all the other hats a small business owner wears.

I would say the second most challenging thing has been navigating a balance of work and daily life with a family. It is an ongoing struggle, but family is extremely important to me. I try to make sure to schedule blocks of time that I dedicate to being 100% present with them.

MissCaseyK, LLC is a Nashville-based early childhood educational consulting business that helps local parents prepare for their child’s educational & developmental success. We pride ourselves on offering the highest-quality educational consulting services for young children and their families, which strongly benefits the whole child.

Over the years of working in some of Nashville’s finest preschools, owner and founder – Casey King developed an intimate knowledge of Nashville’s school admissions. With a focus on preschool through 4th grade, MissCaseyK helps families prepare, plan, & choose the optimal learning environment that embodies and nurtures the whole development of their child.

Our services are unique in that we provide an array of educational consulting services to support families with young children, including readiness assessments, school admissions consulting, parent coaching, small group classes & camps, private tutoring, and more!
