Exploring Life & Business with Laura Braga of The Guilty Grind

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laura Braga.

Laura Braga

Hi Laura, I’m so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
It all began when I was young. I grew up in the kitchen with the family, so most of my free time was spent helping. The more I learned, the more I wanted to know more. So, that thirst for knowledge and love turned into an obsession that kept me furthering my technical skills over the last 20+ years.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Smooth is far from what this journey has been. Lots of up and downs, but nothing big enough to stop me. I’m too stubborn. Owning a Restaurant/Bakery has been an exciting journey, full of challenges, tears, and laughter, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are a European Bakery specializing in laminated pastry, artisan breads, desserts, and Gelato. We also have an excellent coffee and tea program and hang-out spot.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
This is a tricky question to answer, but our quality is that we are a small bakery, so all of our products are small batches, and I believe that guarantees a more uniform and consistent product. Since we had a small company, we could also do a lot of customized work, which is my absolute favorite!
