Daily Inspiration: Meet Kayla Harrell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kayla Harrell.

Kayla Harrell

Hi Kayla, We are so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always loved to host and used to do large spreads for just friends and family events. I’ve worked in corporate events for over a decade. The hospitality industry was decimated when the atomic hit, and I got laid off. During that time off, I just thought about starting a business. I worked on my branding, launched the website, and began receiving orders. Before I knew it, I begged my family to help me with large orders! Every year since we’ve grown more extensive, we have an entire team working with us. I’m so grateful for the support this city has shown my business. Charcuterie 615 has been a creative outlet for me, and I hope to keep creating beautiful spreads for our clients.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Overall, this journey has been smooth! I’ve hit minor bumps in the road just navigating the business side of things, but I assume that is what is expected of any small business.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We specialize in large grazing spreads and offer easy delivery options for Charcuterie items. We have an easy-to-use ordering platform so clients can order directly from our website, making it super easy! I’m proud of my team! I (knock on wood) have been okay with everyone that works for me. They are some of the most artistic go-getters I’ve ever met, and they have to deal with me and my messy brain more often than I’d like to admit. I’m so thankful for each person who has helped build this company.

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
We started this business during the Covid-19 pandemic. It was a difficult time to navigate selling food items, but we’ve kept a lot of the lessons we learned then in our business ever since.

Pricing:

  • We have very simple pricing for most of our items, which you can find on our order page.
  • We can customize everything we do and are open to anything you can think of. That comes with custom pricing.
