Daily Inspiration: Meet Carla Waldron

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carla Waldron

Hi Carla , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My business partner, Nick Schroer, and I grew up together in Ohio and reconnected our friendship about 6 years ago. He was running his Carpentry business, M &N Creates, and I was operating my Reiki and Health Coaching business. We were both looking for more in life and decided to partner to invest in real estate in Nashville, TN. Our love for Nashville and our love for music made it easy to start our venture in the city. We partnered up and started our first short term rental business, Noteworthy Properties. This venture lead us to purchasing in the 1865 Building in Midtown near the West End. We were both in love with the historical tobacco building, its history, its energy, its location, and the opportunities. There was an empty room in the basement that was undeveloped and awaiting for creativity. Nick and I met with the developer and decided that a Speakeasy would be the perfect fit! Nick and I started planning and our creativity soared to new heights! Our build-out started in December of 2023 and we held our Soft Opening of 1865 Club on April 6 th.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
All and all the road was smooth! There is always hiccups in growing and working with companies and others. However, we have been surrounded by the best support and synchronicity’s have lead us in the right direction! When you are meant to do something in life it just flowing smoothly.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a wellness and energy coach at heart. I love coaching others through life as listening is my best skill. I am a reiki practitioner helping to reduce stress and anxiety in others. I am most proud of successfully raising 3 beautiful children that make amazing and caring citizens in our world and shining their bright lights. I am also proud of the fact that I have found my creative side and allowed it to flow out of me. Starting 1865 Club has been nothing less than amazing. I get to connect with people, watch and help them shine their creative potential in artistry, house a place where you can enjoy music and connect through conversation. Providing a space for community and enjoyment of cocktails is what sets 1865 Club and the team apart from everything else.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
My advice is do your research first. Second, do not let fear get in your way. It is good to have fear, just do not let it control you. Allow your inner creativity and belief to know that what you have your heart set on will succeed!
