Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephen Lukinovich
Hi Stephen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
If you had to ask me, “Did you expect to be where you are now when you moved to Nashville?”, I would have said NO! People ask me what my 5 year plan is and I cannot answer that. I moved from New Orleans to Nashville with no job, wife, kids, friends, or family. I took a risk and bet on myself. While in New Orleans, I worked in a number of industries including the church, service, sales, and hospitality. I feel as though my life experiences have molded me into the man I am today. Since moving to Nashville, I have been busy. I am a server at the swanky Twelve Thirty Club, model, and host/media correspondent. Each job tickles a different itch, but all have one common theme in them which is bringing joy, happiness, and smiles to all I come in contact with.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My road has not been easy at all. I have had a lot of trials and tribulations through my journey and career, but I would not change it for anything. I have definitely taken the road less traveled my entire life. Having gone to a high school and multiple colleges without knowing anyone, it forced me to bust out of my shell and network and make connections myself. The one constant thing in my life has been my family. My mom, dad, sister, and brother-in-law have played a crucial role in my life. They are the my support system through the peaks and valleys. Through my journey, the one thing that has been a big motivator is that rejection is redirection. With that mindset, all of my failures and disappointments have been motivators to keep going.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
With the way technology has changed, there is no cookie cutter career path in today’s society. I feel as though I can be a guiding light and motivator to other young professionals to help them create a life they are proud of. Each job I have allows me to make memories and bring joy to people. My purpose in life is the connect people to help grow in thier career since no one has accomplished their goals by themselves.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I am not a fan of this question due to the fact that nothing in my life that has been planned goes to plan. Life, technology, and industries change each and everyday which makes it very difficult to plan 5 to 10 years out. I like to live y life day to day with an eye to the future. We only have a short time on this planet and living and enjoying each day should be at the forefront.
