Today, we’d like to introduce you to Dustin Moore.
Hi Dustin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My story probably began in high school. I have been involved in many extracurricular activities. I danced, I modeled. I have been in sports my whole life growing up, including basketball, track, tennis, football, baseball, BMX bike racing, competitive sand volleyball, and wrestling.
I never grew up with a body image problem or issue with being overweight or unhealthy, never focused on the look of my body. Then, one day, it all of a sudden did, and I never really focused on being in shape, just strong or fast, or just being better every day than others. Then it happened… There was a girl.. the Prettiest girl in school… Prom queen… Homecoming… Crush, it’s my senior year in high school, of course; I was in Pajama City, Florida, like all teens on their final spring break. We walked down to the beach. Everyone took their shirts off and into suits, and I didn’t for about an hour.
It was my first insecurity. I can remember taking my shirt off that day, and I thought to myself…. I’ll never feel this again ever. And I didn’t. After that, all I did was study and test every single thing possible when it came to transforming the body. I started bodybuilding for fun when I was 19. From that point on, it was in my blood. In 2002, I started working with addicts at a Christian rehab center, basically replacing drugs and alcohol with faith and fitness.
I lucked out and got in with some of the top names in our industry at a pivotal time and in 2012 started online and on Instagram and now have moved to over 150 clients all over the world and 3 in person locations where a one-on-one service is offered, and we are still here 12 years later. I just competed in my most recent competition in November 2023 winning the overall men’s bodybuilding title.
I have a 10-year-old daughter that is my right hand the key to living this life is to balance being uncomfortable and adapting to reality in all of it and knowing we have control of what we place in and what we do with our bodies and we have the control no one else does faster you learn that faster you find you that you didn’t know existed.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing in business is smooth when you’re the owner. And this industry isn’t looked at or valued like it should be or has always been. The struggles are a part of the growing process. It’s what makes us better and better. It grows us when we are adults, and we have no other way of growing ourselves.
I think the largest struggle is creating your brand as well as growing and adapting. With the way the industry changes so fast, we have to as well. Covid was a struggle until, again, we adapted to the need of the public vs the need to be together.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe you can tell us more about your work next?
Probably known best for my bodybuilding team and clients, I do run and own the Platinum Fitness clothing brand as well. Specialize in many areas. I think probably my weight loss and body transformations with 20 or more over 100-pound weight loss stories.
What sets me apart is probably the service and attention to detail aspect. I’m a hands-on coach 24/7. Plus, I never wanted to be known or focused on being a trainer. I wanted ownership to build something different, so now I own training companies with handpicked trainers chosen for you where I can reach more people and reach their goals.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc.?
I am a Steven Furtick guy, for sure. His sermons have been a part of my life for seven years now.
