Today we’d like to introduce you to Anjolaoluwa Opalade
Hi anjolaoluwa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Basically, I’m from Africa(Nigeria). i came to the state at the age of 16. left my family back in Africa to school here in the state. I went to ETSU college in Johnson city, TN. I graduated in year 2021 at the age 21/22yrs. my whole family relocated in year 2018 and they resided in Texas. I’m currently pursuing my career as a nurse and which I do enjoy doing a lot. Also, currently working on my self to get better and archive all the goals I have always dreamt of.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
TBH, it was a rough journey to begin with been an international student. there are a lot to talk about such as culture shock, language, financial wise and so on
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a registered nurse and being doing it for about two and half years now. i work on medsurg floor. it’s pretty rough but i enjoy what i do for a living.
How do you think about happiness?
Growth makes me happy. The word “growth” have different meaning but what it means to me is improvements. i get happy when i improve mentally, academically, financially, spiritually… e.t.c. this makes me happy because i know i am progressing and not stagnant in one position
