Life & Work with Heather Titus of FRANKLIN

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Titus

Hi HEATHER, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Relocating to Hawaii was a huge unknown, for in my pocket was only a dream to live closer to nature and to live simply. While living in Hawaii I cultivated an interest in its culture as well as establishing photography as a profession. which I have evolved its expression over the years. My images have graced the covers of magazines locally, nationally and internationally, displayed in homes and offices as art work,

One of the greatest endeavors of trust and faith I encountered was self publishing a pictorial book. Daring greatly, I stepped forth teaching myself all aspects of its creation from the design and layout for the book with the newest software on the market. A software that no design firm was using in Honolulu which in turn I found myself with almost non existent support though I never gave up.

I was known through the community as a nature photographer. So I felt that my pictorial book would be well received as it carried the spirit of Aloha and principles of harmony as seen through the native Hawaiian culture. I stepped forth into the community pre-selling the book while it was being printed over seas. The financing came solely through the pre-sales of the book from the community. I received a call from the local bookstore inquiring about my book. They had been receiving calls about it. I told the owner I needed to sell the books direct to make full profit to pay for its printing. They offered to take the book into the store without taking any profit for a few months. I agreed to their generous offer. When the book was picked up by the books stores it flew off the shelves ranking 5 times on the best sellers list locally in Hawaii in a span of 2 years! There after I published two more pictorial books of Hawaii carrying the spirit of Aloha within its pages: ‘Hawaii A State of Being’ and ‘Oahu’s Beautiful Essence and the Spirit of Aloha’. And now today I turn my attention to film making. There are a few copies left of my third book available.

I create relaxation films from beautiful destinations: The Hawaiian islands, New Zealand, Florida, which are now featured on my YouTube Channel. There are more destinations in the workings as well as beautiful Tennessee.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Don’t take advice from people who haven’t achieved their dreams, living their potential.
There were many logical reasons why not to move forward. Following my heart created openings.
Logic is not governed in the heart. The heart is far more powerful than logic. It is feminine and abstract.
and magnetic. Synchronicities can appear out of no where.

Note for this Music City of Nashville. Music is a heart centered expression it has proven to be faster and powerful in uniting races and cultural differences throughout the world then any government policies.
