Inspiring Conversations with Tim Branstetter of Music Manager

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim Branstetter

Hi Tim, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started out as a sports writer for a local newspaper, after 20 years in the newspaper business I decided to start my own sports talk podcast/radio show called Wildcat Sports Talk. After finally reaching the status of being credentialed at The University of Kentucky and having my show on multiple radio stations, I found a new love, music. I discovered a young couple named Skyler Fields (20) and Rachael Jarvis (18). After getting to know them and be around them for a couple of years, they finally decided to let me be their music manager. Now they go by Headover Hills. They have been touring around Kentucky and Tennessee four around four months and I have impressed a lot of people. They were honored to open for Kentucky Music Mafia, then The Creekers at The Kentucky Music Hall of Fame. Recently they entered a contest at the hall of fame and beat out 26 contestants for $2,300. I have loved every minute of being their manager and we have build a strong relations that feels more like family.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
There has always been bumps in the road, but I have found a way to stay positive and keep pushing forward and God has provided a way. I’ve been through a few hard stretches, but at the end of the day I’ve been blessed beyond measure. Skyler and Rachael have helped me through my recent divorce by giving me something that I am passionate about to focus on. Working with them and watching them grow as artist and young adults has been amazing.
