Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Wilde
Hi Megan, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi there, I’m Megan. I am a musical artist, educator, entrepreneur, and humanitarian. I create globally accessible, high-quality, and affordable education through technologically innovative and immersive online experiences. You can learn more at www.wildemusicacademy.com.
My journey as a musical artist and entrepreneur has been one of transformation and resilience. I began as a quiet girl from a small town-struggling to find my voice. I ask for referrals and researched all over to find someone who could help me with my dreams and with nervous anticipation – I finally met with a voice teacher. After singing for the first time in front of a teacher, she looked me dead in the eye and said – “You have a biological disease called tone deafness, of which there is no cure.”
Can you imagine the devastation I felt, knowing deep down who I was meant to be, only to be told it would never be possible? Instead of giving up, I pursued my passion with determination (and found a more qualified voice teacher!). A few years later, I gained acceptance into one of the world’s top fine arts academies where I trained with famous singers from The Metropolitan Opera and performers on Broadway.
However, I soon realized that being a great singer wasn’t enough to make my dreams come true—I needed to develop my own unique artistic identity, write and perform original music, redefine my branding, and develop my business acumen.
Today, I’ve transformed from that shy girl into what Seattle Music Insider describes as ‘a musical force to be reckoned with.’ My achievements include winning a Global Music Icon Award and an LA Music Critic Award. My music has been featured in TV shows like TNT’s ‘Claws’ and commercials for brands like Forever 21. I’ve performed the national anthem at stadiums in front of 20,000 people—written theme songs for a UN organization representing Africa’s female presidents and royalty—and performed at iconic venues such as Paris Fashion Week at The Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal in India, and Lincoln Center in New York.
With a natural love for nurturing students of all ages and skillsets, my clients have gone on to be admitted to prestigious schools like Berklee College of Music, performed on Broadway, and worked with Grammy winners and music producers for Kelly Clarkson, Sia, OK Go!, and The X-Factor.
That’s why I’m so proud to launch my innovative, immersive, and global program “The Artist Accelerator.” It’s designed as a scalable business model, allowing us to reach a global audience without significant overhead costs. By leveraging an online platform, we provide high-quality, immersive education to students worldwide, ensuring accessibility while expanding our reach and impact.
A pivotal moment in my entrepreneurial journey occurred during a visit to the United Nations, where I was invited as a distinguished guest of honor by African royalty and a U.N. Global Peace Ambassador. I sat in a fluorescent-lit basement—listening to Aisha Syed-the parliamentary leader of Pakistan-speak to a group of women. She asked them what they wanted more than anything, and I was deeply moved as each woman—proud mothers—stood up and shared their dreams—not for material wealth or luxury, but for something so basic: the ability to read food labels at the grocery store and to count the change to purchase it.
This experience transformed my life—driving me to make education more accessible and effective on a global scale. It inspired me to develop educational models that not only teach, but empower.
Today—as an artist, humanitarian, and entrepreneur—I’m committed to helping others on their musical journeys while also working towards a future where high-quality education is both affordable and accessible for all. My vision and legacy will expand to ensure that education reaches globally underserved populations – with a focus on primary education, and I am dedicated to making this a reality.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It certainly hasn’t been an easy road, but the challenges have pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. One of the biggest areas of growth has been advancing my technological skills to improve the client experience and generate and nurture new leads. For example, one of the many modules in my new program is a ‘learning library’—a vault of educational resources that includes video lectures, PDFs, downloadable audio tracks, and interactive quizzes. To bring this to life, I had to level up my knowledge of technology, including learning how to use digital cameras, setting up lighting, mastering video editing software, and investing in high-quality gear. Essentially, I’ve had to become a content creator.
On the lead generation side, I quickly realized that my advertising efforts needed to target modern audiences comfortable with online platforms to be successful. This led me to implement targeted online advertising to reach global audiences and set up automated systems to develop and nurture leads. These systems capture and schedule leads, send out emails, and even manages text notifications—allowing me to streamline my efforts efficiently.
A few months ago, I had no experience in any of this – and it was so amazing that my first launch was a five figure success! Today, it’s awesome to look at how far I’ve come as a result of pushing on despite the obstacles. For instance, the educational infographics I created on Pinterest for Wilde Music Academy now reach a monthly audience of 65,000 – and my targeted online advertising generates 200 leads a month. The great thing about working online and with technology is that it can be highly effective and help you grow quickly when implemented strategically.
As my business continues to expand, I’m exploring opportunities to collaborate and build a team that can help me manage growth effectively. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me and how I can continue to connect with new students and potential partners along the way.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I help aspiring and professional musicians transform their musical abilities, ignite their creativity, discover their distinctive voice, and gain industry exposure and business knowledge. With expert guidance in voice, piano, songwriting, stage performance, and music business skills – I empower musicians to flourish and shine in the music world.
My services range from traditional one-on-one lessons to an innovative new online educational model called “The Artist Accelerator.” This program offers accelerated learning modules, including a vault of educational content, masterclasses with music industry experts, daily personalized feedback and support, monthly showcases, and a community of like-minded musicians eager to advance their careers. I’m incredibly passionate about this model because it’s highly effective in motivating and educating students. Unlike traditional content-based courses—which have a 95% drop-out rate—”The Artist Accelerator” drives success through continuous engagement and a strong sense of community.
As a business, I’m most proud of my students’ success. When my students achieve their dreams – I know I am truly serving them. For example, I have an 11-year-old student who debuted on Broadway this summer, a songwriting and production student now working with Grammy winners, and a business coaching student who is enlarging her network by collaborating with Sia’s mixer—who has over 500 million streams across 30 #1 singles. Another student, just 10 years old, recently performed “This Girl Is On Fire” at an African empowerment conference, in front of distinguished guests like Her Excellency Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao. I’ve also had students go viral, with one Instagram post reaching 2.1 million views.
Many people believe that achieving musical success is unrealistic, so they shelve their ambitions and settle for 9-5 jobs they don’t love. I understand the hesitancy in following a path in music – but I passionately encourage people to live out their aspirations.
You get one life—what is life without the beauty of a dream? For those who have set aside their musical dreams, believing they are impractical – I urge you to pursue what truly makes you happy. The journey of your life begins with one small step forward. Take the step.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I have developed a great network of highly competent industry influencers largely because of my approach to relationships. I naturally am a giver at heart – and I’ve found that by giving without expectations of receiving back – you earn respect, trustworthiness, and just a better life experience overall…as people around you form beautiful memories with you. Of course, not everyone will reciprocate—some will take and move on—but it’s important to stay true to who you are. Keep giving, stay authentic, and things will work out for you naturally in the end as you lift those around you to greater heights.
Mentors are powerful—as an advocate of lifelong learning, I believe your life can be greatly improved upon by seeking out the mentorship of someone who has already achieved what you set out to do. I genuinely love online learning because it opens incredible doors of opportunity to people you might not have had access to before. Entrepreneurs who are seeking to advance their knowledge and skill set should seek out online courses in their specific interest or field to find a mentor.
