Community Highlights: Meet Steve Morris of Franklin Personal Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Steve Morris

Hi Steve, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
After completing my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Middle Tennessee State University in 2002, I honed my skills by training at several studios in the Cool Springs area. In pursuit of a lifelong dream, I joined the United States Navy in 2005. While serving as a commissioned officer, I remained devoted to fitness training within my command. In 2008, I transitioned to a career in law enforcement as a patrol officer at a local department. During this period, I also co-founded one of the first CrossFit gyms in middle Tennessee.

In 2014, I embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by establishing Franklin Personal Fitness, a private personal training studio that has been serving the communities of Franklin and Williamson County for over a decade.

With over two decades of experience in the fitness industry, my love for fitness drives my passion to help others achieve their health and wellness goals.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
2020 was the most challenging year for my business. In person training facilities where not permitted to remain open durning the “lock downs” due to covid. My business was forced to remain closed for almost 4 months.

As you know, we’re big fans of Franklin Personal Fitness. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Franklin Personal Fitness, we empower individuals to take control of their fitness and nutrition, regardless of their backgrounds or athletic abilities. Our private, professional one-on-one training ignites a belief in the potential for positive change, fostering an environment that promotes optimism and empowerment. For 10 years, we have proudly served the residents of Williamson County and Franklin, TN, where our business is rooted and thriving.

Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
I recently started a podcast that serves as a platform for men to heal & grow by sharing raw testimony and personal experiences that expose the darkness men deal with.

The podcast is called
