Meet Stacy Gary of Clarksville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacy Gary

Hi Stacy, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
So it has alway been something on my mind that I would love to start my own boutique one day. I have also had friends tell me that I should post my outfits on instagram because they love my style. I went through a hard year in 2023, I lost my brother and my mom only 3 weeks apart from each other and it just made me realize just how short life is. So I started really doing my research on how to start my business. I knew that I wanted to make this online boutique an affordable place for people to come to get cute clothing for day to day looks. Come April 2024, my boyfriend was deployed down to the border for 4 months so I had a lot of time on my hands. I was like this is my time to start. So I launched my online clothing boutique, Honey + Bless Boutique the end of May 2024. This is currently just a side business for me and something to do for fun. I am hoping that one day it can grow into something much more.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road for the most part. I know that we are living in an economy that people are not buying as much as they have in the past and its been hard to get a following for my boutique. I have tried pages on Facebook to share my page and well as instagram and really just word of mouth. I know it will take time to build a following but that has been the biggest struggle.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Sales Representative for a freight company. I have been in this industry for 12 years. I have a passion about building relationships with people and being a problem solver. I would say the thing I am most proud of myself in my career is that I have learned a lot over the years, I have grown so much in my career professionally and emotionally. You learn how to handle situations and how to be present to your customers with understanding their needs. I feel like this has helped me in my journey to start this business because I want to help others and understand what they are looking for when it comes to finding good quality clothing that will not break the bank.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I moved to Nashville 7 years ago from the state of Georgia. I was always so worried that I would get home sick but I never have. I have met amazing friends, co-workers, and customers that have always supported me. Nashville it a town that it truly makes you feel like you are at home. Also, you cannot go wrong with the food in Nashville! Absolutely love all the options that we have in town. Honestly, not a lot to dislike about the city, except maybe the traffic. That can be a headache sometimes. haha Moving to Clarksville- I have absolutely loved the fact that I am still close to Nashville, but the downtown area of Clarksville is my favorite! Restaurants are great, but they have events like on Sundays “Sundays on Strawberry” and vendors come out for that day or on Saturdays they have the farmers markets. Friday nights they have live concerts on the lawn area downtown. Just always something fun going on in town.
