After years of working as a dedicated dental hygienist, life threw me a curveball that inspired a new journey. As a wife and mother of two – one of whom has multiple disabilities – I was constantly balancing my family’s needs with my own. During COVID, like many, I found myself rethinking what truly mattered. I realized that I wanted to pursue my passion for self-care, not just for myself but to help others feel confident and empowered in their skin.
So, I took the leap and went back to school to become a licensed esthetician. It wasn’t just about a career change – it was about finding something that would allow me to support my family with a flexible schedule while also giving me the freedom to be self-employed. Today, I’m proud to run my own business, combining my passion for skincare and self-care, helping others feel and look their best.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey wasn’t without its challenges. One of the hardest parts was finding reliable care for my daughter with special needs. Balancing school and family meant encouraging my loved ones to step up and take on more responsibility in my absence. It wasn’t easy, but with their support, I was able to push through and pursue my passion.
