Today we’d like to introduce you to Hailey Houston-holt
Hi Hailey , can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I grew up right outside of Nashville and am so proud to be a native Tennessean! I have been married for almost 4 years to my lovely husband Hunter and our two dogs, Arlo & Ozzy. I am an avid beauty and fashion lover and have created content more seriously around the last year or so and amassed way more than I could have ever imagined! I was diagnosed with lupus at the beginning of this year and creating beauty and fashion based content has been such a joy in my life when dealing with such a cruel disease. I love to incorporate my love of vintage and retro aesthetics into my art and my content as well, guess you could call that my niche!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely lupus on my body physically, but more so mentally. I was unable to be an art teacher anymore and had to take a different path career wise. Figuring out how to do anything with my condition was a struggle on it ms own but on top of a full time job I put myself in the hospital many times. Being able to work creatively still has been my passion and I am grateful for the opportunities that it has given me, such as this interview!
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am am niche in my own right! I love to create whether it’s a physical work of art, an outfit, or a unique makeup look, I am always creating something! I incorporate a lot of pop culture elements and vintage aesthetics into my everyday life and creative endeavors.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see how the content world shifts so rapidly, I can hardly keep up! It’s very much a luck of draw and takes time to learn how to find your audience and not lose yourself in the process of creating content. I see it ever evolving and hopefully will continue to be a pioneer of trends and innovations!
