Check Out Haley Bundy’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Bundy

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

Music has always been my passion. Growing up, my dad immersed me in it, taking me to small local venues to sing karaoke and teaching me his favorite songs – songs that have become cherished roots of my own musical journey. I remember sitting at the kitchen table with him around age 13, just before the pandemic hit, belting out classics like “Alone” by Heart and “I Wanna Know What Love Is” by Foreigner through our one small speaker and microphone that we had at the time. I knew from a young age that Nashville was where I wanted to pursue my musical dreams, as music is truly all I’ve ever known. My parents even promised that if I kept chasing that passion, we’d move the whole family to Nashville right after I graduated.

I joined my first band around the age of 14, forming it with a couple of boys from my area. We performed a few times a month and practiced religiously. I believe joining a band at such a young age has given me the courage to sing in front of crowds today.

I think everything I’ve done musically thus far in my career in the last few years have really made me the person I am today. I think all the times I’ve gotten to perform with other artist and work with other people to be able to tell my story of being from a super small rural Ohio town with little musical opportunities have really helped me grow as an artist.

Back in April of 2024, my whole family and I, being mom dad and sister packed up our stuff and moved to Nashville. Sitting here now, I still can’t believe we made that drastic change in our lives, moving almost 8 hours to pursue my career It’s still wild to fathom, but so far it has been the best 6 months of my entire life, I’ve gained so much more experience working with musicians, meeting people, gigging a few times a week, writing music, and just soaking up as much as I can about the industry with the support of my family, and I couldn’t be more grateful for them.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life is a constant challenge not only for me, but I’m sure for others too; requiring continuous effort to continually improve and be better. I’ve learned to disregard the negative opinions of others, especially in the cutthroat music industry. While I value the wisdom of those more experienced, I’ve also recognized that jealousy is an inevitable with success. Ultimately, the best approach is to stay true to yourself and your goals.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My primary passions are songwriting, signing, and live performances—all of which involve making other people happy. I guess my favorite thing about performing live is just watching peoples face light ip in the audience when I sing one of their favorite songs. I also enjoy taking some of my original songs to live performances. Because I’m located in Nashville, I’ve met a lot of foreigners who really connect with the music I sing, and it makes me happy to know that I can have that sort of impact on others all around the world.

What were you like growing up?
Some of the people who knew me when I was a kid knew that I was pretty shy. I didn’t hang out with a big group of friends; instead, I spent a lot of time at home pursuing my hobbies and doing what I loved as a younger kid. I enjoyed playing outside with my friends in the neighborhood, but as we grew up, I realized how much I miss that simple quiet life, haha.
