Hi Alexis, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hello, my name is Alexis & I am a licensed Brazilian Wax Specialist. I take pride into my customer service (hence the 120 5-star Google ratings that I am VERY proud of) and making my clients comfortable. Although I love waxing, overall coochie care is my favorite thing! I love to wax, perform vajacials, and provide products for women that help fight against hyperpigmentation and ingrowns. I began my business in Huntsville, AL and has recently moved to Tennessee! I am located in the Smyrna area and hope to build my clientele the best way I can.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The biggest struggle I have had was being stagnant in a area that I also grew the most in. In Huntsville, I was known as ms. i wax coochies, which set me on the map and grew my business to earn six figures. I also owned 2 spas that created a safe space for other beauty bosses to come together and make magic. I grew so much that I began to outgrow the area. Business felt “okay” and I for sure wasn’t seeing new clientele as often as I usually do. I knew last year it was time to move on and restart my new chapter somewhere else.
Another struggle was dealing with personal life but also still having to show up for myself and my business. Going through depression, heartbreak, anxiety, insomnia, etc. your girl has been through it (laughing but serious)! No matter what you’re going through, as a service provider you still have to show up and provide your clients with the best service and put your personal struggles to the side.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Jewelle’s Luxury Esthetics was created in 2020, I created this business to cater to women and women only! I love women’s health and one thing women hate the most is hyperpigmentation and ingrowns. We often get too hard on ourselves about our appearances and shame ourselves for what we as most women all go through. I have been called Coochie Mom, Coochie Godmother, P*SSY Hero, etc due to my knowledge and products that actually works! I am most proud of all my reviews from my products to my 120+ 5-star Google Ratings! I set myself apart from other estheticians due to my vulgar (some might call unprofessional) approach to my content and even my product names. All of my P*SSY products are high demand and each product caters to a certain need whether its hydration, hyperpigmentation, ingrowns, and overall brightening the area!
If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
My experience in receiving terrible waxes in the past, my excellent customer service, and my need to make sure every customer that supports my brand is satisfied all tie into the most important qualities for my success.
