Today we’d like to introduce you to Priya Srinivas
Hi Priya, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m Priya, a mother and photographer with a passion for storytelling by curating memories. My journey into photography began six years ago with the birth of my daughter, capturing her earliest moments and discovering a true passion. With my husband as my rock and biggest supporter, I have turned this passion into a thriving career.
My photography style is a unique blend of authenticity and creativity, capturing raw emotions and untold stories in every frame. I believe in the power of human connection, and every session is more than just a photoshoot – it’s a chance to create unforgettable memories.
Through my work, I aspire to inspire, to provoke a thought, and to ignite a sense of wonder. I aim to capture the beauty, depth, and magic of life, one breathtaking frame at a time.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I believe that nothing comes easy. You pave a way for yourself, through hard work, believe in God and of course, LUCK (Learning Under Clear Knowledge). Crests and troughs come with every job in this world. I have faced my share of struggles of creating my space in this industry. Over coming the struggles is what makes a difference between a ‘somebody’ and someone who is successful. I never stop until I make it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a professional photographer specializing in wedding, lifestyle and portrait photography. As a social butterfly I find joy in connecting with others and discovering what excites and inspires them in life. I am also a proud mother, and my daughter is my greatest treasure. Watching her embrace the values and habits I strive to instill in her brings me the utmost pride. In my work, I am deeply committed to capture the finest details and ensuring every pixel and every inch of the frame is perfectly crafted.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
As I mentioned earlier, I firmly believe in LUCK, which for me stands for “Learning under clear knowledge”. In photography, or any field, true mastery comes from a deep understanding of the craft and relentless dedication to honing one’s skills. Whether it’s perfecting the play of light, composition, or the nuances of post-processing, consistent effort is key to success. As quoted by Bruce Lee “I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times”.
