Today we’d like to introduce you to Amrit Arora
Hi Amrit, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey as a wedding photographer started with a simple passion for capturing emotions. It wasn’t long before that passion took me to the USA for my first international shoot. It felt like a turning point, but the real shift came during the pandemic.
One of my intimate weddings went viral, and suddenly, I was being featured in major outlets like Gulf News and Hindustan Times. That exposure changed everything for me.
The breakthrough came when I landed my first Bollywood celebrity wedding, which ended up being featured in Vogue. Seeing my work in Vogue was a moment I’ll never forget—it validated all the years of hard work and dedication.
That’s how a passion turned into an incredible journey, and I’m excited for what’s next.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Breaking into the wedding photography market wasn’t easy—it’s incredibly competitive. Finding my identity and standing out was a challenge in itself. Every couple has a unique vision for their big day, and meeting those expectations felt like the biggest responsibility. They chose me to capture their most important moments, and that trust pushed me to deliver my best every time.
If I look back, the journey was far from smooth. There were countless obstacles—creative blocks, tough clients, intense competition—but every challenge taught me something valuable. In the end, it was all worth it. Those moments of stress and doubt only made the victories sweeter.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a wedding photographer and own a wedding photography brand named: The Wedding Files
What do you like and dislike about the city?
There really aren’t any dislikes when it comes to my work—I love what I do. The only challenge is the constant travel, which often puts me in different time zones every other day. It can sometimes affect my productivity, but beyond that, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
