Today we’d like to introduce you to Courtney Meyers
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Courtney Meyers is an Emmy Nominated writer & producer with 18+ years working with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. She is a best-selling ghostwriter, authoring her debut novel and host of the breakout podcast Intentional Living with Courtney Meyers. She’s a graduate from The University of Southern California’s prestigious Annenberg School of Journalism & has trained extensively with Multi Best-Selling Author & Renown Intuitive Mentor, Sonia Choquette.
A wife & mother of two, Courtney is a California native living in Tennessee on a mission of growth, healing & soul-searching, striving to help others UNLEASH THEIR VOICE, connect to their most authentic self and live a life they love!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing about my journey has been smooth.
From finding my person and building my family (I didn’t get married and have kids until 37), to losing my career during Covid (I got let go from my 20 year Hollywood career as my maternity leave replacement was cheaper under the guise of Covid) & uprooting my young kids and moving across the country (despite the displeasure of those closest to me), I have learned to dig deep & listen to my intuition on the path towards greater fulfillment and growth.
It is that inner voice that is always guiding me on my path and helping me to understand the bumps in the road which we all face are really just redirects towards the life we are truly meant to be living.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I wear so many different hats in my work. I am a podcast host (Intentional Living with Courtney Meyers). I ghostwrite bestselling books for many amazing clients. I am a writer, producer, creative and so much more. And I am extremely proud of all that I create.
As a creator, you put your heart & soul into everything, which is quite a vulnerable position to be in, and while scary, it is what I am truly proud of. Allowing myself to be vulnerable where most won’t and truly create from a place of authenticity, integrity & truth.
Oh, and I’m super proud of my Emmy nomination too. It’s kind of a cool little tidbit about me.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
While my work really focuses on personal development & growth – most would be surprised to find out how much I love politics & sports & historical fiction! I geek out on these things, although you wouldn’t know it from my podcast or other creative endeavors. I rarely get the chance to talk about these topics publicly, but I’m slowly trying to find a way to weave them in organically.
