Hidden Gems: Meet Leeza Stanfield of Ink Wine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leeza Stanfield.

Leeza Stanfield

Hi Leeza, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My passion for wine actually began in 2020 during quarantine. Like many people, my husband and I were looking for new things to explore, and that’s when we embarked on a journey to expand our wine palate by joining an online wine club. What started as a casual hobby quickly turned into a deeper passion, and I decided to take it a step further by earning my WSET Level 1 in September 2022 and Level 2 in April 2023.

As I delved deeper into the world of wine, I wanted to make it more accessible and fun for others too. That’s why I created Ink Wine, a mobile wine business offering a unique and personalized experience through our trailer. We officially launched the trailer this summer, and now we’re able to bring wine tastings directly to people’s homes or even corporate events. I’m proud to say that we also offer wine tasting classes, helping people learn in a fun and approachable way.

For me, wine is about connection, and I want my clients to feel that every time they interact with Ink Wine. Whether it’s an intimate gathering or a larger event, I aim to create memorable experiences where wine is approachable and enjoyable for everyone.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Like any entrepreneurial journey, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Starting a mobile wine bar comes with its own set of unique challenges. One of the biggest hurdles was launching a new business while navigating through the logistics of making a mobile service work—there were a lot of moving parts to figure out, from getting the trailer outfitted to managing the legalities around serving alcohol in different locations.

Another challenge has been educating people about what Ink Wine offers. Since we’re not a traditional brick-and-mortar wine bar, there’s a lot of explaining and marketing involved in helping potential clients understand the unique experiences we bring.

Despite the obstacles, I’m proud of how far we’ve come. Every challenge has taught me something new, and it’s made the success of officially launching the trailer and connecting with clients that much sweeter. Watching people enjoy themselves at our events and knowing we’re providing something truly unique makes it all worthwhile.

We’ve been impressed with Ink Wine, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Ink Wine is a mobile wine bar designed to bring the joy of wine to people in a fun and approachable way. We specialize in personalized wine tastings and offer unique experiences that can be brought directly to your home, corporate event, or special occasion. Whether it’s a small gathering or a large celebration, we tailor each experience to fit the vibe of the event.

What sets us apart is the mobility of our service. We’re able to create a full wine bar experience wherever our clients are, and we offer more than just wine—we also specialize in non-alcoholic wine-forward cocktails and mocktails, ensuring everyone has something to enjoy. We’re proud to make wine feel approachable, offering not only tastings but also wine education through our wine tasting classes.

I’m particularly proud of the level of customization we offer. Whether it’s curating wine for an intimate bridal shower or setting up a full bar for a corporate event, we always focus on creating memorable and engaging experiences for our clients. Our wine tasting classes have also been a hit, allowing people to explore wines without any pressure—just a lot of fun and learning.

At Ink Wine, we believe that wine should be enjoyed by everyone, whether you’re a seasoned connoisseur or just starting to explore. We want people to know that wine can be fun, inclusive, and accessible, and we take pride in delivering that message through our mobile wine bar.
