Hidden Gems: Meet Jamie Barnett of Nolo Medspa & Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jamie Barnett

Hi Jamie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been a CRNA for 13 years and an RN for 18 years. After the loss of my husband and then the Covid pandemic, I wanted a change from the hospital setting and to focus on time with my children. I decided to learn how to inject neurotoxins and fillers so that I could have more control over my schedule. It quickly grew from hosting Botox parties to renting a small space in Nolensville to my two larger locations in Nolensville and Eagleville. I now have two RNs, two aestheticians, and an office manager with me. It has been an amazing journey and I am so glad I made the decision to change my career path.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Learning a completely new skill in injecting has been so fun and rewarding. I truly love making people feel good about themselves. The most difficult part of this journey has been learning how to run a successful business, something they don’t teach you in nursing school.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Nolo Medspa & Wellness?
I wanted to open a medspa that truly welcomes women of all backgrounds and provides treatments that truly get results. This industry can get very expensive for consumers and I believe every dollar should be purposely spent on treatments the patient actually needs to achieve their desired results. I am very passionate about educating my patients so that we make a decision on treatments together. I like the natural approach and love making long-term treatment plans. We offer the best technologies available: Morpheus8 face and body, Lumecca IPL, DiolazeXL Hair Removal, CoolPeel, Hydrafacial, Xeomin, Dysport, Radiesse, Versa, and many others. I have used every product and device that we offer on myself and will only bring on treatments that truly get results.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was very into horses and animals growing up. I had every intention of becoming a veterinarian, but changed to nursing when I discovered the 10 year education path for an equine vet.
