Hi Celeste Sullivan, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
We founded Those Water Girls out of a shared passion for health and the belief that wellness starts with clean, high-quality water. I’m Celeste, originally from New Zealand, and I grew up understanding the importance of water conservation in a drought-prone area. Later, my years in Australia taught me the necessity of staying hydrated in extreme heat. As a mom, I’ve become even more focused on what goes into my family’s bodies, and finding the best water source became a priority.

Jessika, my co-founder, was first introduced to Kangen water as she sought a way to support her work as a radiology technologist. Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at a young age, Jessika’s journey in health has been deeply personal. After her symptoms were triggered by a waterborne infection, she prioritized gut health and toxin-free living. Kangen water, with its medical-grade quality and hydrogen-rich benefits, felt like the solution she’d been searching for.

Our paths crossed online, and we quickly realized we shared the same vision: to make premium, antioxidant-rich water available to more families and businesses. Today, we’re Those Water Girls, bringing the power of Kangen water to our community. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Starting Those Water Girls has been an incredible journey, though not without its challenges. Both Jessika and I were motivated by a shared goal—to gain freedom over our time and be our own bosses while bringing an eco-friendly, holistic solution into our homes and the homes of others with the best quality water.

As with any new business, there have been hurdles along the way, from learning the ropes of entrepreneurship to balancing our family lives. But every challenge has been worth it, knowing that the benefits we provide positively impact both our own families and our customers.

One of the biggest advantages we have is the balance of our complementary strengths. Jessika’s skills shine in content creation and social media, where she connects with our audience and communicates our mission beautifully. Celeste brings a background in film and TV production, so she handles the backend work, pulling together the technical aspects that make our brand cohesive and impactful. Together, we’re able to tackle obstacles head-on, blending our skills and passions to bring Those Water Girls to life.

The COVID-19 crisis has taught us so much about the importance of prioritizing health and wellness in every aspect of life. One of the biggest takeaways for us has been the critical role of gut health and the immune system in overall well-being. We’ve come to understand that what we put into our bodies—right down to the water we drink—has a direct impact on our ability to stay resilient and healthy.

Through our journey, we learned that most standard tap and bottled water contains contaminants like microplastics, which can be harmful to our health. Because of the pandemic, our mission to provide high-quality, microplastic-free water became even more essential, as people began paying closer attention to what they consumed and used within their homes. By offering water that is free from harsh chemicals and filled with antioxidants, we’re helping people protect their gut health and overall immunity.

In addition, maintaining a clean, low-tox environment has become a top priority. Our water ionizers create different pH levels that allow us to use water for multiple purposes, including as a natural, chemical-free household cleaner.
